Day 01 Day 01 - Kandy

Arrive and transfer to Kandy, Sri Lanka's cultural capital. Visit the world-famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, the magnificent Royal Botanical Garden at Peradeniya, and a traditional spice village. Visit a gem centre and optionally attend a traditional Kandyan cultural show in the evening. Stay at Thilanka Hotel (4-star).

  • Arrival at the airport, Proceed to Kandy
  • Visit the Pinnawala Elephant orphanage to make friends with elephants
  • Sri Lanka is one of the few destinations where you get to spend time with the majestic beast the elephant, bathing and feeding them are some of the few activities you will get to do
  • Explore the world-famous temple of the Tooth, the main attraction in Kandy
  • Wander around the secluded nature of the Royal botanical garden in Kandy
  • Experience the spice village tour and get to know about world famous Ceylon spices
  • Witness how Sri Lankan handicrafts and famous batiks are made
  • Learn about the famous Ceylon Gems
  • Later if time permits, take part in Sri Lankan Traditional Cultural Show

  • Optional scenic train ride from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
  • En route, near Ramboda village, visit Shri Bhakta Hanuman Hindu Temple
  • Prepare your cameras. Next stop will be at beautiful Ramboda waterfall
  • Stop at Labukale tea garden on the way
  • Then, visit the beautiful Seetha Amman Hindu Kovil
  • Take a serene walk through Gregory Park and watch the stunning sunset by the Lake Gregory
  • Enjoy a high tea at Grand Hotel
  • Dinner & Ovrnight stay at hotel.

  • It's time to enjoy a quick visit to world-famous architect Geoffrey Bawa's Country house. we are commonly known as Lunuganga Estate which was designed and built by Bawa's own hand.
  • Bentota is famous for water sports. Jet ski, banana & tube boating, diving, snorkeling, deep sea fishing are a few that are popular
  • Learn about Sri Lankan sea turtles at a turtle hatchery in Kosgoda
  • Next, go on an amazing boat ride in Madu River through eye-catching mangroves (aquatic trees in coastal waters)
  • Along the Madu River on the boat you will arrive to Fish farm and if interested get to try Sri Lankan fish therapy
  • Visit Moonstone mines and watch how this enticing gem is mined in Sri Lanka
  • Take a stroll along the calming beach and enjoy the spectacular sunset
